Vitamin C has received an enormous amount of publicity over the years for treatment of the common cold. Back and forth and back and forth. In my view, on careful examination of the evidence, the use of vitamin C in people suffering from viral illnesses such as the common cold and flu is a good bet. Of particular interest to me is the more extensive research from Finland on the subject, which I have shown below.
